Exchange
Want to embark on a new year-long adventure, discovering a country and its culture? Finding accommodation for such a long period isn't always easy. But the good news is, a host family can open their doors to you. You'll have the freedom to explore the country, learn a new language, and fully immerse yourself in the local culture. And that's not all: you'll be provided with room and board, for a worry-free experience.
As an au pair?
An au pair is a young person who stays temporarily with a host family abroad to share their daily life. In exchange for accommodation, meals, and pocket money, the au pair primarily helps with childcare and participates in some light housework for a maximum of 20 hours per week.
The goal is not just to work, but also to discover a new culture, to learn or improve a language, and to have an enriching experience abroad.
In Belgium, the au pair program is strictly regulated by law, in order to protect both the host family and the candidate.
